Ubi: Earned in Blood Storyline Video

BiA: Earned in Blood | UBI | video

In case you are unfamiliar with the story behind Earned in Blood, the sequel to Road to Hill 30, a new video has been published. UBI has released a new video detailing the storyline in Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood. TeamXBOX has coverage.

On a side note, the server change is eminent.

UBI: Brothers in Arms 2 at Christmas

BiA2 | UBI

UBIsoft has announced its plan for 2005-2006 and in it is a spot for the next chapter of Brothers in Arms. They state that BiA2 is expected to be out for the holiday season of 2005.

I wonder if we'll get an announcement about BiA2 at E3 and we might even get to see some of the levels or missions that Gearbox already has completed for BiA2.

Brother in Arms Gone Gold

BiA: Road to Hill 30 | Gearbox | UBI

dat-guy points out that Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 has gone gold! The XBOX version of the game will be available on March 1, 2005. The PC and Playstation 2 versions of the game will ship "shortly after". Thanks to everyone who sent emails and submitted the news posts. Update: Coverage here: DailyGame, IGN, Ve3d, Boomtown, Total Video Games, Gamesindustry.biz, Gaming Horizon, Gamespot, Shacknews. Click read more for the announcement.

UBI: March 2005

BiA: Road to Hill 30 | UBI

UBI's website lists all 3 BiA versions as being released in "March 2005". Previously those pages listed the release date as "February 2005". With a gold announcement soon, we could very well see the game by the end of March. Again, don't have faith in the release dates of game retailers like Gamestop, EBGames, Wal-mart, Amazon, etc. until after UBI makes their gold announcement.

New BiA Forums at UBI

BiA: Road to Hill 30 | UBI

I just noticed that there are a couple of new subforums on UBI's official Brothers in Arms forums. It looks like they have split the Brothers in Arms main discussion forum into 2 separate forums - one forum is for console dicussion of BiA while the other is for PC discussion of BiA. Hmm. They have also added an Off Topic forum for non-BiA releated discussion. Forum links:

UBI Reports Earnings

BiA: Road to Hill 30 | UBI

UBIsoft reports that holiday sales were down but expects record Q4 figures. They didn't release that many games over the holiday period which they claim is why the numbers were down. But, they expect a strong next quarter with the launch of Brothers in Arms and the next version of Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. "Ubisoft is projecting fourth quarter earnings of 220 million Euro, which will leave its overall sales for the year up by ten per cent - a reversal of the first nine months of the year, which have seen sales down by 11 per cent."
