I call this wallpaper, Legacy. I felt that it needed to be done. The man in the middle is my grandfather. This is a tribute to him. He's not dead yet and he's no where close so I thought I would dedicate this to him and show him while he was still with me. He was a master seargent. I hope you enjoy. Zaskoda sent an email stating that the first of a 3-part Brothers in Arms Developer Diary hits the web tomorrow morning. These diary entries will be the results of a Q/A session with Col. John Antal. The questions came from you, the BiA community. The final 2 parts of the Antal diary entry will be posted on the next 2 mornings.

A little birdie told me that a new dev diary entry is ready to go and should be available in the next day or two.
I wonder who it will be.

The 5th Gearbox Developer Diary update has been posted over at diary.GBX. This time, the focus is on botman. Here's a copy:
[quote=botman]I'm Jeff Broome, a game programmer here at Gearbox Software. I spend my day creating software for Brothers in Arms. I have responsibilities in several different areas of development. I've worked on animation blending code, lip-synching code, facial expression code, artificial intelligence (A.I.) code, game editor features, tools and utilities for the game, and I'm currently working on all of the code required for tanks in Brothers in Arms.

Q5: Asked by Raydude
When the "fire" element of a fire and maneuver team engages an enemy how
do they stagger their firing times so that they don't all run out of ammo
at the same time, or close to the same time?

It appears the Colonel knows his history, one thing I've always wanted to
know, is how well did the Allies perform as a "single unit" during the war?

by Marc Tardif - BIA Multiplayer Producer & Marketing Guru
Taken from a letter to the company on 8/23/04:
Hey all, just got back from my trip to the Leipzig gaming convention
last night and thought I'd share some of my adventure.
First off, this convention is nothing like I thought it was going to be.
Picture E3 shrunken down
into one hall instead of two and you'll get an idea for size and scope.
What's really cool about this show is that it is open to the public. On
Saturday, they were estimating upwards of 60,000 people visiting the
show. Judging by how insane it was, I believe it.

by Jeff Wofford - Brothers in Arms Project Manager
I am Jeff Wofford, Project Manager on the Brothers in Arms project at Gearbox Software. It's my job to get the game done. I came onto the Brothers in Arms project in May of 2002, when it was just getting started. I have to admit that my first thought when joining the project was, "Oh no, not another WWII game." But from the beginning, all of us who were involved in getting the project off the ground fell in love with the setting, the soldiers, and the incredible stories that these people lived. At the same time, we worked to make the game unique and to create gameplay that we ourselves wanted to play but had never been able to get from another game.
